Q) What is letterpress?
A) Letterpress began in Europe in the 14th century. It is a relief printing technique in which a raised, inked image meets paper with enough pressure to produce a print. Letterpress offers a tactile quality that cannot be achieved by any other printing technique. Its fine craftsmanship stands out in a world of mass produced items. Letterpress offers a sense of luxury and beauty that is sure to leave a lasting impression. Send someone you know a little piece of luxury with one of our unique letterpress cards.
Q) How does the custom process work?
A) The process begins with a conversation about your project. We will discuss budget, timeline, & what your vision is. Once we have established a general concept, we will send you an estimate and a proposal. If you choose to begin working on a design together, a 50% deposit is requested.
Based on our discussion, you will be emailed a round of 3 designs to choose from. From there we make revisions as needed until everything is exactly as you pictured it. A final proof will be sent for you to double and triple check, and your plates will be ordered!
Please allow four to eight weeks from the time your design has been finalized to shipping. We will do rush orders but there will be an additional fee.
The remaining 50% plus shipping is requested upon completion of your project.

Q) What forms of payment do you accept ?
A) We happily accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or regular account payments all through PayPal.
Q) Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?
A) No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it.
Q) Do you have an Etsy shop?
A) Yes we do. You can find our Etsy shop here.
Q) Where can I see your work in person.
A) We are just beginning to place our products into retail locations. We will update our site with a list of all the locations shortly. We will be at the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn, New York on June 14 and 15, 2008.
Shipping
Orders are shipped within five business days via USPS mail.
All sales are final.

Wholesale or Consignment Orders
We would love to work with retailers to bring our cards to their stores. We welcome wholesale and consignment orders. Please email us at info@messengerbirdpress.com for a price list and an order form.
